Beta Class Honoree

An accomplished educational leader with over 25 years of experience, Tasha is a proud graduate of Paul Quinn College, Class of 1999. Her work in the southern Dallas community took root during her time at Paul Quinn, where she served as Miss Paul Quinn College 1997–1998 and was an avid community service advocate through the NAACP and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Lambda Nu Chapter. These early experiences helped shape her lifelong commitment to service, education, and community engagement.

She currently serves as the Elementary STEM Mathematics Department Coordinator for Dallas ISD, where her career is dedicated to cultivating teacher efficacy and managing districtwide academic initiatives, including professional learning and curriculum development.

Tasha’s impact extends well beyond the walls of the school district. For over two decades, she has poured her creativity into A Touch of Tennille, a personalized gifting brand she founded in 2004 to foster “the art of creative surprises and personalized smiles.” Through this venture, she has become a local staple for “Trademark Educator Gifts,” personally ensuring that teachers and school staff feel seen, valued, and celebrated through custom-tailored creations.

Her commitment to service continues through active membership in the Southwest Dallas County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she collaborates with community stakeholders to foster engagement and civic responsibility. Tasha prides herself on blending professional instructional coaching with a personal passion for celebrating educators.

She is also the proud mother of two artistic college students: Janelle, who attends the University of San Francisco, and Sidney, who attends Prairie View A&M University.
